Born in Liverpool, I now live in South West France where Joy and I run a holiday business, dividing my time with working for Dementia Care Matters.
Senior Associate Consultant Trainer
National Perspective - Fun - Expert Facilitator
I joined Dementia Care Matters in 2010. I have worked in dementia care for more than two decades beginning at the UK Alzheimer’s Society as part of the charity’s Care Consortium, developing learning and the first person centred standards in dementia care. I was the writer and executive producer of the Alzheimer’s Society’s popular training programme ‘Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’ and am the writer of a number of publications produced by the Alzheimer’s Society. I was the Dementia Consultant at the UK charity Age Care. Prior to working in the dementia care field, I was a training manager, researcher and editor with the progressive UK charity ‘Directory of Social Change’.
