Mattering at Home® - a New Culture of Home Care Services

Following on from Dementia Care Matters well-known national and international model which has been inspirational in transforming dementia care homes, it became clear the model could transfer into homecare services.

A large-scale pilot was held in a region of the UK and following its successful implementation Dementia Care Matters now has a new model of home care services - “Mattering at Home”™ providing consultancy, leadership mentoring, training trainers and practice-development in person-centred homecare.

This course positively addresses recent national concerns about the direction and delivery of home care outlined in the “Close to Home” Reports from the Equality and Human Rights Commission

Dementia Care Matters has piloted /implemented this training model alongside Monmouthshire County Council’s Home Care Service.
