Dementia Care Matters works with the School of Health and Social Care, University of Surrey, UK. The organisation holds a ReQ mark (Recognised Educational Quality) with University of Surrey and University of Brighton, UK.
David Sheard, CEO and Founder has held the post of Visiting Senior Fellow, University of Surrey since 2003 and an Honorary Doctorate was awarded to David in 2010 in support of Dementia Care Matters work.
Dementia Care Matters provides 3 accredited courses with BSc or MSc credits in Culture Change in Dementia Care, New Leadership Matters in Dementia Care and Training Skills Matter in Dementia Care.
These annual courses are delivered in various locations across England, Wales and Ireland. They are also commissioned "in-house" by organisations wishing to provide a full course for their own staff.
